Commercial and larger systems usually need both. If your AHJ rejected a permit, the correction notice will say which discipline is missing.

We stamp plans that meet our engineer's standard as submitted. If your plans need corrections before they can be stamped, you'll be notified with specifics. At that point you can choose to: (a) have our drafting team make the required corrections for an additional fee, quoted after review, or (b) receive a refund of your stamp fee minus a $150 non-refundable review fee already incurred. We will never stamp plans that don't meet code or safety standards, regardless of payment.

Two disciplines, one stamp
Some jurisdictions require one, some both. Pick the discipline your AHJ asks for.
Structural stamp
Certifies the mounting, attachment method, and load path can carry wind, snow, and seismic loads. Applies to the structural sheets of your plan set.
Electrical stamp
Certifies the electrical design meets NEC — conductor sizing, overcurrent protection, grounding, and interconnection. Applies to the electrical sheets.
Many projects need only one. Commercial and larger systems typically need both, which is why we bundle them.

Turnaround depends on review complexity and is separate from our standard 48–72 hour drafting promise. After you upload your plan set, we confirm receipt and provide a review timeline based on the scope.
For nearly all projects, a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the appropriate discipline is what your AHJ requires. A small number of states — Illinois and Hawaii — require a separately licensed Structural Engineer (SE) to seal structural drawings. We arrange the correct license type for your jurisdiction automatically.
